Day In The Life

HND brief: Apr 2010, Illustrate a day in your life.
As the brief was very open, I went experimental over-board. I made 6 paper mache balls, several of which I threw glue at, poked cocktail sticks through & hoarded bus tickets for - the result were less pleasing than expected, as i planned to take a picture of all 6 together as my final. However, the production photos I felt worked really well, so I have used a montage of these in my final, to create a Motion film festival poster & several postcard hand outs.
The whole project seemed to slip in with meanings almost subconsciously; Thursday actually originates from the Roman god of thunder, Jupiter. So my many balls, or 'planets' really helped to convey the passage of time & time frame - as time frames are very prominent within the planetary system. I hope this also goes a little way to explaining the thunder cloud illustration.
